Whilst there are many different styles, types of cupcakes and cupcake recipes you’ll find they all have similarities but also their own unique twist.

Take the famous cookie monster cupcake on the left, this cupcake brings a smile to anyone’s face and with a first simple glance looks fairly easy to make. However if you head over to Google and search for “Cookie Monster Cupcakes“, you’ll see an entire montage of mishmash versions of this famous cupcake.

Even the versions that turn out terribly wrong will make you laugh and bring a smile to your face, and this is exactly what cupcake baking should be about.

Cookie Monster Cupcakes Inspiration

Have fun when baking, take chances, put your own twists and styles on your cakes, make them your own, think about the person you’re baking for, what are their hobbies? what would really light up their face to see in your design?

As we done for above, use Google for inspiration, looking at images of cupcakes, another great free resource is YouTube. You’ll find an entire selection of beginning bakers to professional bakers all testing their skills, see for an example once again the famous Cookie Monster Cupcakes.

Once you’ve found your inspiration, use the techniques you’ve learnt so far along with your free tools of Google Images and YouTube to really make your cupcake special.

Take a look at the image to your left.  This baker even shows within the photo they have used an Xbox Controller to copy using their found skills.

Whilst the actual cupcake it’self may look fairly standard, once the miniature controller is placed on top it suddenly transforms in to a tiny piece of art we all want to stare at.

This type of baking really displays a huge amount of skill and imagination towards the creator. We can only guess that the cupcake in question was created for someone with huge passion for playing Xbox Live Arcade games.
